Alcohol & Drugs: MIP, MIC, Intoxication How long before a ticket will be filed.

My just turned 18 yr daughter was in a parked car a few weeks ago and was the only one who admitted to being in possession of marijuana. (less than 30 grams, misdemeanor in Indiana). She was given a ticket and told to appear in court the following Monday. She told the officer she was scheduled to leave for boot camp for the navy Decemeber, and a conviction would negate that. He told her to contact another officer first on Monday. She met with the officer and gave him the information he asked for and was told if she set up a buy with the dealer, they wouldn't press charges. She was told this deal would happen within a week or so. Now she cannot get the officer to respond to her calls or pages. She needs to know what they plan on doing, so she can get her life back on track. How long do they have to file the ticket and how can we find out if its been filed?
