My estranged husband was charged with felony battery and domestic abuse for a physical fight with his girlfriend. After ducking my attempts to jointly file for divorce for almost a year, he (and she) wants me to file immediately because he says it will keep him out of jail on this charge. I think they are trying to pull something, but I can't see how it would benefit them for me to file. I want to file, but I'm afraid I'll be the loser. We live in Wisconsin which is a no-fault state.
