Well this is something thats probably a little lighter than what you guys are used to dealing with. At my school, the student body president election is coming up. The student senate wrote a "constitution", that mandates that in order to run for office you have to attend half of the student senate mettings. The candidate I am supporting has not attended the required amount of meetings, and thus student senate is saying that he cannot run. Is the authority of student senate legitimate, even though they are not elected? Does anyone have any solid arguments to use against them, obscure supporting court cases, etc.?
Thanks all,
MT
