Earlier in March I got a speeding ticket for 78 in a 60. I have contested it and have received a court date in the mail. I would like to be as best prepared as I can when I head to court so I have a few questions.

Does anyone know what the process is for discovery of the officer's copy of the ticket (including his notes) as it was submitted to the court? Or do you know of a website that explains this -- like who to write the letter to, how to format it, etc?

Also is there a time limit within which the officer has to submit the ticket to the court.

This is in King County in Washington state if that is helpful. Thanks!

Chris
