Help for a friend

My friend is 24 and he is dating a 16 year old girl. I guess I am wondering the statutory rape laws in Montana. As best as I can decipher, 16 is the age of consent and there should be no legal reprocussions, however I am not a lawyer, and I have a hard time determining what the law says. Any help for my friend would be great. I don't want him to go to jail.

The real question would be how does the minors parents feel about this?

It pretty much is over, but her parents are trying to stir stuff up. I am not looking for moral advice, I have already given him plenty of that.
