Hello I am trying to figure out if I should a lawyer. The reason I ask is because I am starting a business with a guy and my roll is to be the CMO and design all the visual arts and graphics for the company including but not limited to logos, business cards, website design etc... As the CMO and in return for my services we agreed that I will receive 35% of the profits the company makes but now his lawyer is saying I need to split 35% of the expenses in order for me to receive 35% of the profits. Even though my partner and I don't agree with his lawyer I still need some legal advice of my own or a contract because I have already designed the logo the business cards and the website, and I don't want to get burnt in the long run. Please help!
