I have dug myself into a horrible situation: I have ignored and ignored a credit card debt.It got turned over to a collection agency, whose communications I also ignored. (I've been severely underemployed for a long time and am totally broke--no assets, 1997 car, etc.)
I have a court date TOMORROW to determine my ability to pay.
What happens if I don't attend this hearing? Can I be arrested, or can they go after my lame old car?
