This is in Michigan. I received a handicapped parking citation ($150) this weekend. I was standing (I was in the car) and was ticketed for the violation. It was raining and I was waiting for my wife and there were at least a dozen open handicapped spots available. Anyway, the citation list the make, model as a white Cadillac CTS and I was in a white STS (a picture of the rear of the car (where it clearly says STS) by the enforcement officer). Additionally, in the violation section he wrote "VIN - BLOCKED". The VIN on this car is clearly visible and is actually listed twice, once on the VIN plate and once on the company car sticker that is slightly above the VIN plate. So I have an STS with a clearly legible VIN and the citation is for a CTS with a blocked VIN. Should I fight it?
