H Visa H-1B Denial Options

Hi,
My H-1B got denied and the some of the reasons were:

• H-1B not a specialty occupation for Sr. Software Engineer position
• My company is H-1B dependant organization

My company said, they are going to appeal it (motion to reconsider).
My questions are:

1. I have previous petition approved till Sep 2011 from previous employer. Can I work for another company using the current companies paystub and approval notice of previous company? Am I still in status because of previous petition?
2. What all other options I have to survive in US

1. I'm not sure I understand. Are you talking about working for another company even though your work for the sponsoring company is at end?

2. Very good question. Considering the unemployment level in the US, I think nobody knows for certain what's going to happen with regard to many things. The only person who can give you all your options is a good immigration lawyer - they can discuss your entire situation instead of our getting the smallest snapshot here and you might be surprised what you can do as you are already in the country.
