Not being able to live with my oldest sister and going back to school in Sulphur, Lousiana.

Emancipations are rare, very rare.

Good luck......

The only state that will even consider emancipating a 15 year old is CA and that is pretty much reserved for Actors or professional ballplayers. Even if possible (which its not) the national average for successful teen emancipation is around 1% You might find this write up http://www.parentnook.com/teen-emancipation/ helpful in giving you info on issue

Emancipation isn't just because you want it - it's when you need it & are able to support yourself completely among other things. A court will not emancipate you at 15. Sorry.

And even when the minor qualifies for emancipation (which is rare, rare, rare), it is even MORE rare to happen without parental permission. In fact, in many states it CANNOT happen withour parental permission.

It can't happen at 15 and, as so many others have stated, won't happen simply because you feel you'd be better off somewhere else.

The state tends to limit exercising judicial power to remove a parent's legal rights to those circumstances where the parent is putting the child at risk and it is in the best interest of the child to be on their own rather than in foster care. The odds are slim for emancipation, and the circumstances tend to be those where the minor is already largely caring for themself.
