Foreclosing on a rental property

My girlfriend is currently renting a house in Humble, Texas. She received a notice from a company investigating the foreclosure of the property. She called the company she is renting from and they say that the owner of the property is going to pay the amount due on the mortgage for the house. The company that was investigating can't give her official word about the foreclosure since she's not the owner. The mortgage was taken out as a primary residence but clearly they are renting it out.

The lady investigating the foreclosure said once a certified letter is sent to the house that the foreclosure process has started. She received a note from the postal service saying there is a certified letter for the owner.

She has tried contacting the rental company to get more info on what is going on but they either don't answer or don't return her calls.

I was wondering if this is grounds for termination of the lease because she is getting really stressed not knowing how long it could be until she is kicked out or if she will be kicked out. She has a new house lined up that she will be renting from a co-worker but doesn't want to move in to that house because she doesn't know if her lease will be honored in full or if the sheriff will come by tomorrow telling her she has 2 days to vacate the premises.

Check the landlord/tenant laws in Texas and see if there is a clause there regarding foreclosures. If nothing in the laws, have her check with the attorneys who are sending the letter to her landlord how they would like her to proceed regarding the lease and its termination. Good Luck!
