My boyfriend was charged with 2 misdemeanor possession charges. He was given court dates for this, but didn't show up for the trial According to what I have read in his papers, they proceeded without him and we are assuming there is an arrest warrant out for him at this time. Now he wants to correct this mistake. He is willing to do his time, but we would like to be prepared for what is to come. Is there anyway for us to find out the outcome of his case before he turns himself in? What is the best way for him to contact the courts? And, what can we expect when he does?

You need an attorney to act as an intermediary.

He was likely tried in absensia and is found guilty for all purposes.

A good attorney you can have a plea bargain with the prosecutor, which most Judges follow, but don't have to adhere to. It's most likely you won't know the punishment until the judge renders the verdict.

Good luck.
