We purchased home 7/16 now learn there had been a chimney fire that will cost 4900 to repair. Any legal recourse against seller?

How did you learn about the fire?

Why did you not learn about the fire before closing escrow?

Did you not obtain a property condition disclosure statement from the seller?

If you got a disclosure statement, did the seller conceal the fire on the statement?

Did you not have a professional home inspection done?

Answer all those questions and we will see where we can go with it.
