I accidently hit a coworkers parked SUV. I told her I hit her car, in late November but saw no damage. She claims there is damage, but I don't think I caused it. We agreed to not tell the insurance devils, and we filed no reports.
She said she would get an estimate for me so I could pay her for the damage, but she took two whole months to get me one, making me think she dropped the issue. She finally gives me the estimate for $400 and I told her to get another one, but I still don't think I owe it.
I'm really not inclined to pay her at all since she can't prove I caused the dent. Several questions come to mind?
Can she still report me to the insurance company? Can she sue me for the damage? What are her legal options?
