extended service plans from ford ESP

i purchased a extended warranty plan from the ford dealership in 10/09 when i purchased my vehicle and it started after my original 3/36k mile warranty expired. the car had 8950 miles when i bought it and did not have a problem with it until may12. My AC went out and it was the condenser that went bad. the contract i was sold from the ford dealership was the wrong contract due to the model of the car that i had and my car having 50k miles it was determined from ford that the contract was illegal? their service contract rep sold it to me and i wanted to know if there is any recourse i have? the contract was from 3yrs or 60,000 miles on the car. im under that but i assumed the dealership would in good faith sell the right plan? i had to wait 30plus days and then i was then informed of their mistake. they finally fixed their mistake but technically the plan was illegal at the start due to service writer selling me the wrong contract.im from nj but purchased the car in ny.
