Criminal Records, Expungement Expungement process in CA?

Hi Everyone,

I have a misdemeanor petty theft dismissal on my record. I live in the state of CA and this is my first and only offense. I would like to get my record expunged. How could I do so? How does the process begin? Where can I get the paper work?

I would really appreciate some help, I have just been dismissed from my banking job because of this on my record.

I would really like to know also. I'm new here after doing some searching on yahoo. I messed up once and I'm paying for it as we speak....hard to find a job. I was convicted with a misdemeanor petty theft and I'm wondering if it's possible to get it expunged. Thanks. Sorry Somy for sorta hijacking this thread.
