Exhibiton of speed?

i just got a ticket for doing a wheelie on my street bike. the violation # 23109c Exhibiton of speed. The cop was about 500ft away and he wrote that i was doing a wheelie going 40mph in a 25 he had no way of knowing how fast i was going. what do i do??? do i fight it? do i just say it was an accident and i accerlated to fast or what?? please help if you have any help my e mail address is evanc11@hotmail.com this happened in california

You challenge the officer in the same way you are asking the question here. You might want to question the officer as to how he could tell you were doing 40MPH -- which might be difficult doing a wheelie -- when he was so far away. Quite likely it will be reduced if it isn't dismissed, but there are many variables that can come into play.
