Can a landlord evict you without serving a 3-day notice?

Can they put a 3-day notice in the eviction papers claiming the served the notice? Is that illegal?

You can ONLY be evicted by a judge.
The 3 day notice is simply telling you what you know, you haven't paid the rent you owe.

YES, happens regularly.
Extremely hard to disprove, but not as difficult as DISPROVING you don't owe unpaid rent.
