Emails valid in court??

I have documented statements from various witnesses in the form of emails for a small claims case and want to know if these are valid forms of evidence? I know the court will not accept affidavits and prefer witnesses to be in person, however, rather than subpoena these witnesses to appear in court, they have all sent email documentation.

Please advise.
