Copyright E-mailing music link to managers/A&R

I'm a musician who is looking to submit my music to manager and record labels, but I have not yet completed the copyrighting process. If I e-mail my music link to a prospective artist management firm or a record label, do I have to worry about anyone trying to steal my music? If so, would I have any legal recourse to sue them if they do?

Yes, unless its protected, you're intellectual and/or creative property is at risk.
That's why many reputable companies refuse to accept unsolicited material.
Yes, you can always sue.
But, that doesn't guarantee you that you'll prevail.
An agreement in writing might help protect your interests.
I suggest you consult your attorney about all of this.
Music lawsuits rumble along for decades.
