I got a speeding ticket back on 25th nov 2004. My luck as it is .. New york state started Driver responsibility assessment on 19th nov 2004. I got 6 points. The ticket was cleared and I only had to pay the admin fee at that point. I am a canadian citizen, and just few days back got a letter stating that I have to pay $300 as DRA fine or my driving priviliges will be suspended in New York state. I am just wandering since I am a canadian citizen, and I wish not to pay the fine, would it affect my license in Canada in any way. Also, can it affect my insurance. I do understand if I don't pay then I cannot drive in New York state, and I can live with that as long as it doesn't affect my license here.
