My daughter is 6 months old and her father is in prison. Is there a way to get a paternity test done while he is in prison and, if so, how do I go about getting it done without doing child support?

You'll likely find there will be an issue with "chain of custody".

If dude proves to be dad, he'll most likely be held to pay child support.


Very stupid, yes, because dad-dude is in prison.

So, dad-dude could rack up quite an arrearage while locked away.

You might just want to leave this be, because it will serve no purpose until dad-dude becomes a free dad-dude.
