I've had a few DWLR but they were not for moving violations, just not paying car taxes on time and stupid stuff like that. I paid my lawyer $750 to get them cleared from my record. I recently moved from NC to IL and when I changed my auto insurance policy they pulled my driving record, everything was on there. Did my lawyer not do her job correctly or was it only cleared in the state of NC? Do insurance companies keep a different record than the DMV?
