I'm going through a divorce, it's been going on for nearly 2.5 years, custody has been established after a long drawn out battle but now the divorce is at a stand still due to my exam lawyer not filing correct papers. Stipulation and waiver of final dissolutiin have been filed an the declaration on my behalf. Is there a certain amount of time a judge will alow a divorce to carry on if everything has been decided?

That, I'm afraid, is a question best asked of your lawyer.

If you feel your lawyer isn't representing you professionally, fire him or her.

Hire a new lawyer, who'll know what to do to fire the current lawyer.

Until you've fired your lawyer, no ethical lawyer will be able to answer any questions. Sorry, but I'm an ethical lawyer.
