Is there a way for me to defend this? Here is what happened.

I lost BIG in casino. Got mad. Toppled the chair I was sitting while I walk away from the CHEATING roulette machine. A security approached me, told him to shut up! I knew he will take me away so decided to leave but before i left, I went to the bathroom. The bathroom that's outside the casino floor.

When I went out, state trooper approached me. I proceeded to ignore and just leave. Bear in mind I am ALREADY out of the casino floor. I AM ALREADY LEAVING!!! Because I know they will ask me to leave anyway.

I was blinded by rage coz I LOST A LOT OF MY MONEY. The state trooper proceeded to block my way. I was mad I push him away. He and the other guy then proceeded to cuff me harshly. I actually has bruise from my handcuffs.

I was already leaving the premises why do they have to block my way? For what?!

Long story short I was slapped with Disorderly conduct state wide. Taken to jail, mugshot, print, etc. I paid $120 so I did not stay in jail. Have a court date next month. Do you think a lawyer can get me out of this?

If not I plan to just use the public defender. Hopefully this will be dismissed. I dont know how this casino people can sleep KNOWING I lost BIG and still have the nerve to charge me. Wow.

Are you kidding me?

You lost your money at a casino and that's someone else's fault...how?

A PD is a lawyer, btw.

And you can be your last cent (oops - no pun intended) that the casino folk sleep well at night - BECAUSE you've just added to their profit margin.

Nope, they're simply businesspeople.

Your gambling problem isn't theirs.

And seriously - if you want to keep your posting privileges, it would behoove you to play nice with the very kind volunteers here.

(and per your posts elsewhere....)

No, you were obnoxious and you're lucky you weren't charged with assaulting a police officer.

Get some help. You need it.

I just want to know if I have a good defense on my case.

No. You don't.

just checked the location of court I will go it seems it's inside a police station. Does it mean anything?

It means that's where the city had room to locate it.

You have an incredibly poor defense. You might get lucky and have the offense reduced, but you won't come away unscathed. You blew it when you pushed the officer.
With all the attention you were drawing to yourself it is no wonderwhy they were contacting you. Your behavior inside the casino was likely sufficient for them to stop you. Had you kept your hands to yourself you probably would have been on your way in just a couple minutes, unless you were intoxicated.

UPDATE:

Just got back from my court case did i do the right thing? Here's what happened today:

Before I went to the judge, some court person called me to the side and ask if i know what im being charged with, then ask if I wanna hire an attorney or PD. Or I can defend myself. I ask for public defender of course.

When the judge called me he said that he assigned a PD for me but since they don't have 1 on their court, my next court date will be on another court where they have PDs. He ask if that's what I want I said yes. But I wonder what if I replied I want my case dismissed if possible without a PD. But I just answered yes because that court is so confusing. There's a LOT of defendants and most are traffic citations and by the way wow if the court is filled like that everyday (was told we're about 500 cases that day) with traffic citations fines ranging from $350-$1000, our local county are filthy rich.

Anyway so my next court date will be in 2 weeks and I have to call the PD on Monday. But I was so disturbed with the paper they gave which says i may be confined. WTF?!! Did I do the right thing asking for a PD?

I wasn't asked to plead guilty or not guilty by the judge. And it says I might pay for PD fees.. I thought it's free?!! Ugh.

I'll bottom line this for you.

In your eagerness to "make the bastards pay", you just upped the ante.

What the "F" am I saying?

You went form a very low level court, a court not of record for "revenue generation" only for the local government. In Illinois, those are generally "mayor's courts" or "police courts". You punched the "golden ticket", my friend, when you requested a lawyer. Police courts and mayor's courts, not being courts of record are unable to try cases, swear witnesses, hear evidence, and transcribe the proceedings. To get that result, and secure your rights, a court of original jurisdiction is required. That means, circuit court. Oh yeah, baby, a real court. A court that can imprison you, or send you to jail.

You see, the cop gave you a break. You were charged with a garden variety ordinance violation, not a comparable state crime. Cool how this law stuff works. Each and everyday I'm so very happy I mom and dad made my dumb "arse" go to law school. This "JD", heck its better than a Glock "9".

The circuit court is the only place areal trial can be held, where witnesses are sworn and testimony taken. Trials are either jury trials or bench trials. In a bench trial, the judge acts as the finder of fact instead of a jury. Trust me, buddy, you rarely want "his or her honor" "judging" you. Anyway, I digress.

You will have to provide proof of income to determine whether you are expected to pay for your legal representation. The public defender is only free to you if your income is below a certain amount.

My case is already a state case. coz the bastard cop made it state case already on the form he gave me. i know coz when the good cop ask the bastard bad cop that was writing the report if he's reporting it local the bastard cop said no, STATE! that's why i was bombarded by lawyer after lawyer mails begging me to hire them for my case before my court date. WTF are u talking i up the ante. the freaking bastard cop and that dbag state trooper ruined my life already even before i appeared on court.

SHIT.

WOW, that's just horrible.

Maybe you should hire one of those lawyers, huh?

Here's something that you maybe didn't learn.

When you are asking for volunteers to provide you with their knowledge for free, it behooves you to be somewhat polite. Because no one here owes you any answers, and are free to leave you here twisting in the wind if they don't care for your attitude.

Where you appear to have screwed up was by not negotiating a local level charge, where you could pay a fine and walk. Now as mentioned, you are hitting the big time, where they might stuff you in a cell.
