I was arrested in March for unlawfully dealing with a child. I finally went to court last week, and the case was dismissed because I had an ironclad alibi for the date in question, which actually was the second date they tried to charge me with. Anyway, when the evidence piled up against the charge, the ADA called the DA, and had the charges dismissed. What is the difference between this and an acquittal? Does this make it look like I got off on a technicality?
