Disabled person needs help with Student Loans

I have schizophrenia and I am on disability. I know that eventually the permanent disability cancellation will go through. (I am on a conditional discharge right now.) The problem is can I get back the money I paid on student loans while I was disabled. I read somewhere that under certain conditions you can get back the money you paid on student loans. For a year I was getting a check for $545/month and paying $198/month to a collection agency for student loans. So you can guess how I was living. Anyway can I get back that money I paid while disabled? Please help me.
