deposit to Build sliding barn doors

I hired a guy to build some sliding barn doors, He advised 4 weeks to complete.
Its been 4 weeks and during the time, He has many times offered to send updated pictures ( none have been sent) So I still don't know if he has built or even working on them, earlier this week he stated they would be ready, not can't get an answer ( happens all the time )
I can only contact thru Face Book messenger, the Phone number he gave is disconnected.
I asked today which is past the dead line and he blew up about me asking.
I don't think the doors have ever been started. He stated on the invoice it says non returnable deposit so he doesn't have to do anything.
I haven't cancelled , i want my product or my money what can i do
I have a ton of email/text about the progress and everything

I'm sure you can do lots of things. One thing you might consider doing is giving him a drop dead date to deliver the doors and, if he fails to deliver, you can terminate the contract and sue in small claims court for the return of the deposit.
