Hello I am new to the forums and hoping to seek some advice from someone kind enought to offer some words of wisdom.

About 2 years ago my ex-wife sued me when I was on vacation in California saying that I had made an oral agreement to give her part of my company. I know that an oral agreement is about as good as the paper it is written on but when I hired a lawyer in California I was getting milked and could not afford the bills. As a result I got a default judgement in a huge ammount and it is collecting interest at like 12% monthly.

Since I got a default judgement is there any way to still fight this, or do I have to declare bankruptcy to fight this?

Best Regards
