The attorney for a defendant strikes a plea bargain deal with a DA.
After the defendant pleads "no contest", the District Attorney renigs
on the negotiated deal and request the original sentencing,
[i.e. pre-negotiation sentencing requests].
What recourse is available to the aggrieved and double crossed
defendant ?
Shouldn't the attorney have requested a side bar with the judge?
A complaint lodged with some Ethics Committee of the Bar Association?
Any complaint could be lodged with the Courts?
If so where or in what areas?
Anything else or what else?
Thanks!
