Property Invasion, Damages, Trespass Criminal Trespassing

I was arrested for criminal trespassing near a railroad track. There was a road going down by the track with no gate and no sign. The officer said they use to be a gate but 2 weeks ago somebody was hit by train and the gate had not been put back up yet. When the raod ending we tried backing up and got stuck. We were later hit by a train because the driver not me could not get us unstuck. I was not driving. What are the chances of getting out of this and if none what punisment am I looking at. I am really worried about losing my job over a stupid accident.

I am in Tennessee. I was just charged with criminal trespassing is all they said. They did not say anything about a statute.
