Criminal Trials, Hearings Credit for Time Served

My daughter violated probation and was arrested in Nov., 2005. She had to wait in jail until Feb. 2 for her court date. The sentence had that date on it, so she got no credit for that 2 1/2 months she had to wait. How do I help get her the credit she deserves?
