credit card suit question

Hello, I received a summons a while back to appear at court at the end of this month for a debt I owed Discover Card. I got involved with a credit counselor, but probably a little late. They have been sending my payments to the lawyer on a regular basis. The Credit Counselors haven't been of much help in how to proceed in court. As it so happens, I have worked quite alot of overtime and have a big bonus check coming before the court date. I will probably have enough to pay the debt in full.....should I contact the lawyers before the court date to make arrangements? Should I wait until court to tell them this??? Should I have the credit counselors contact them with this information? Should I pay it through my arrangements with the Credit Counselors? Will this mean I don't have to go to court then?
