I have lived in my home for 6 years and recently discovered that I live in a subdivision with a covenant. There is no HOA. Are the covenants still valid? I put in a pool and my neighbor says I have to remove it because the covenant does not allow it. What can I do?

Everything depends upon what is contained within the writing. It all depends upon the covenenant. Did you have anyone look at whether putting in a pool was lawful on your property?
