CORRESPONDENCE MEMO RE: UNFILED 2336 JUDGMENT

2336 is a document with a checklist. Apparently the court has not received it.

The clerk's office should be able to explain this in detail.

Thanks,

There MIGHT be a judgment against you that has to be filed.

As suggested, call the clerk and ask for details.

Better yet, ask how you can get copies of the entire file.

That way, you will be able to fully understand what is about to transpire.

Well...why don't you start by telling us where you're getting the highlighted language.

Since you posted on a family law message board and your post apparently relates to California, I thought maybe "2236" was a section of the California Family Code, but there is no section 2236 in the CFC. Nor is there any sort of Judicial Council form bearing that number.

It's 2336... It's a divorce document that has to do with income declarations or something of the sort.

I misread the number. Ugh...

Family Code section 2336 has to do with the circumstances under which a default judgment may be taken. The Income and Expense Declaration is Judicial Council form FL-150 and is filed pursuant to several sections of the Family Code, but 2336 isn't one of them.

All that said, there's not much anyone can tell the OP unless he/she provides some context for statement at issue.
