Yes, he COULD throw you out.

However, to get you out legally, he'd have to evict you using the court system.

Eventually, if he follows the laws available to him, you'll be evicted from the place where he pays rent because your name is not on his lease.

I suspect you knew the answer to your question, but held out hope to the contrary.

Make it easy on both of you, leave.

You can go live with a relative, a friend, or even walk the streets as a homeless person.

Why stay where you are unwanted?
You don't need to answer that question, it was posted to make you think.
Dude no longer wants to be involved with you, gather up your belongings and your pride, and leave ASAP!

Yes. It's possible for him to try, and it's possible that, if he does try, he'll succeed. If you are living with a man who is not your husband in a home that he owns (or for which he is the only signer on the lease with the landlord), then your legal status is nothing more than a tenant or sub-tenant, and you can be evicted accordingly. You are, of course, entitled to take all of your personal belongings with you.

Just leave. Take whatever you have and go. If you don't have family or friends go to a shelter. They usually have resources to help people get back on their feet.

Here is the bottom line.

While you can make it difficult for him and force him to go through the courts, if he wants you out ultimately you are going to be out. There isn't any law you can invoke that is going to force him to allow you to stay, and if everything is in his name then if you do go through the courts all you can gain is time. You'll be given 30 days, or 60 days, or whatever your state law says, to find another place and move there, but you WILL have to leave. And if you leave with an eviction on your record it will just be that much harder to find another place. So you're better off leaving now, before it gets that far. It'll be much easier on you in the long run.
