I signed a contract to have some siding put on my home in April 2008. I asked on several occasions to be let out of this contract. The man that I signed with said that it was not an option because I signed the contract. This man continued to call me thru the summer. He said that I had to refinace my home to get the funding to do the siding. He stoped by in Oct. and had me sign a new contract. The name on the contract was different than the original but, I just thought he was a subcontractor because he took the original 2000.00 on the new contract. Well the day I was going to close he told me he no longer worked for the original company. He has not been with that company for 7 months. I never thought to call the company because this guy called me on a regular basis. This guy is not even a licenced contractor and all the perks from the original contract I signed are null and void. This guy is trying to get me to give him a payoff to not go to court. What should I do.
