Illinois contract question?
Our firm has a signed contract with our client that states" our service fee will be due and payable when you and the candidate enter into a service relationship" "Service relationship" means your engagement of the services of the candidate in any capacity, including as an employee, independant contractor, consultant, or other representative.
Our client made a verbal offer for employement to our candidate which the candidate accepted, the client confirmed the placement or offer in a recorded voice mail (time and date stamped) in our phone system. We also have a written statement from the candidate confirming the offer and acceptance.
Are the client actions sufficent to claim that a service relationship was established with our candidate?
Thank you for your responses!
