I have had an outside cat for @ 4 years. About 1 year ago, my neighbor started feeding the cat, too. She and her husband semed to enjoy the cat and it was somewhat of a big joke about who the cat liked better so on and so forth...until this weekend. Apparently she stumbled over the cat and is now worried for her safety and demands that the cat never comes back on her property .... or else. There is no leash law in my town for cats and I am not breaking any laws. I wrote her a letter that said amoung other things that if she would stop feeding the cat, it would not come over anymore as it does not bother any other neighbors. My Question: If she does trip and fall on her property and it is caused by my cat...AM I LIABLE? The cat is currently locked in the shed and awaiting his release. Any help will be appreciated.
