My niece, whom is 19 yrs old, is in labor today and going to give birth to a baby girl. We are all excited!! My biggest concern is the guy that got her pregnant has no intentions on marrying her because he is illegal. Is it true that if she gives the baby his last name that he can take her and there is nothing she can do?, If he flees back to Mexico?

An unmarried father has no rights to the baby unless he goes to court. That illegal alien isn't going anywhere near a courthouse VOLUNTARILY. She'll end up raising the baby without a dad, unless she wants be an illegal alien, too.

She made her bed, now she gets to lay in it, wondering just how big of a scofflaw he really is. She only has 18 years to go.
