I work at a clinic..is it legal to make the Medical Assitants to stand in the restroom while patients take their drug test?

Somebody has to witness these tests for chain of custody. Why not a medical assistant? It's less expensive than having a physician or RN do so. To answer your question, yes, it's legal.

There are places where they don't stand right in the restroom but if they do, it is certainly legal.
