I have a judgment from Civil court and need to spend some money to collect on the judgment (Private Investigator). I am doing this Pro-se. I know I am entitled to get anything I spend to collect on my judgment from the defendant but I am confused on how to do that in New York, Nassau County.

Do I amend the judgment to include the new costs? Do I go to small claims to collect the fees? Other states as Florida and California have a form titled, Memorandum of Credits, Accrued Interest and Costs After Judgment, which seems a lot easier then the other items I have listed but I can't find anything on this type of form for this state. Does anyone know what someone does to collect the costs spent in the state of New York?

Thank you in advance.
