I placed a person under citizens arrest for assault and the police officers did not give me any paperwork on the matter. I was told I would be notified by mail of a court hearing. Is this true and how long does this normally take after the arrest? Also, the person arrested admitted to the assault to the officers what could be the conviction for that person? This took place in Anaheim California. Thank you for any input on this matter.
