My daughter filed and won a civil case in Maryalnd to get her dog back from an ex-boyfriends mother. The judge ruled in her favor due to the fact that all papers are in her name only and she has paid more than half of the cost of the dog and all vet bills. this woman would not turn the dog over willingly so a Writ of Possesion was filed with the courts. In the meantime this woman filed an appeal to Circuit Court and posted bond to stay the judgement. we still do not have the dog. Does this mean that a judge will automatically hear the case or could he deny to hear it and rule in favor of the previous judges findings.
