if you recieve a citation for shoplifting (only 34.50 in goods) and the amount you attempted to steal is not on the citation neither is there a police statement/report stating how much you attempted to steal and just states what you are charged. can you actually be charged since the amount is not on there and the judge has no proof of how much you stole?? please help. will the charge be thrown out since there is no proof?

Q: can you actually be charged since the amount is not on there and the judge has no proof of how much you stole?
