My husband has been paying child support to florida for about 7 years now he just found out it was figured on 3 children when he only has two. When he called child support they told him it would make no difference, but there payment charts show different. He pays over 12,000 a year and they say he owes back support for 39,000. This to me doesn't sound right, what do you do about disputing the past years of support. They have taken his tax refund for several years, plus he pays a set amount every week towards the back support, and yet it is still 39,000. He recently had a reveiw for adjustment done and now they tell him it is going to go up 200 dooalrs a month. He is forced to work overtime his forty hours a week barely covers child support and hisinsurance not counting taxes, he told them that and they still figured his overtime into the adjustment, how can they force someone to work so much overtime, another 40 hour just to be able to live. Its like he works two jobs, but not by choice, out of necessity.
