My husband and I are filing jointly for Chapter 7. I am busy inventorying our property and would like some advise. We have always lived on a tight budget and so ALL of our furniture is thrift store or garage sale finds. Nothing special, just funky. I don't have a clue as to how to price it. What value do you give a handmade bookcase you found in an alley? Also I have some framed art that my grandmother gave me and I have no idea what it's worth and I can't read the signatures. What about knick-knacks? The book I have says to list everything... does the court really care about my $2 candle holders? Any help would be great! thanks:yes:

You value your personal possession based upon "garage sale" (liquidation) value. Ask, "what would my neighbor pay for this?".

And. . . you list everything, including the knick-knacks (for such smaller items say "assorted small knick-knacks").

Des.
