Hi, we have a chapter 7 that has been discharged for nearly 2 years. Yet the finance company has not come to get the car. I have called them several times about it and finally gave up. During the bankruptcy they tried to get the car 2 times and were turned back because of the stay. They filed a motion to lift stay and were granted lift of stay. Still they have never attempted again to pick it up. I call and they say they will send someone to come get it but no-one ever shows.
It has been sitting in my driveway for 2 years and I have not tried to hide it at all, so they have had every opportunity to get it.
My problem is that we are moving out of state and I will not be able to re-register it in the new state without the title or thier cooperation.
What should I do? Just abandon it ? I will not be able to legally drive it or get new tags will I ?
