Change of Address

We are moving our company HQ to a different office within the same building, so only our suite number will change. We have numerous service agreements/contracts with clients and suppliers that list our principal place of business and address for notices as our current - soon to be former - address. Do we need to formally amend our contracts or will a simple notice mailed to clients and suppliers suffice?

Your suite number has nothing to do with your contractual obligations.

No need to change your contracts, just send the simple notice.

The one thing you absolutely must do is inform the California SOS of the new address and if the address of your Agent for Service of Process changes as well, update that.

Obviously, notifying your business partners of your change of address is a good idea, but your post doesn't raise any legal issue.
