My husband was charged for careless driving in NJ. He has an International D.L. He currently doesn't have any legal papers. We were making a left turn to a gas station when we got hit from behind. We called the police thinking we were at no fault only to find out that we weren't supposed to make a turn according to the officer bec. we were from the second lane. The lines were white long and broken and there were no left turn signs. No injuries obtained on both parties. We have a court date on the 12th of March. By this Mon, 3/02 our immigration lawyer would be able to submit all the paperworks needed for my husband's green card. What should we do next or the best thing to do .Should we move the court date to a later time?
